Ice Prince & Sarkodie Win Big At VGMA Awards
The 13th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music awards held at the Dome of Accra International Conference Centre, last night, April 14, 2012.
Six artists, five from Nigeria and one from Angola were nominated as the “African Artist Of The Year”; Wizkid, NaetoC, D’banj, Duncan Mighty, Ice Prince along side Cabo Snoop. The winner of the category is expected to walk away with GHC 10,000 and every winner in any other categories gets GHC 2,000.
Ice Prince Zamani from Nigeria emerged as the winner of the “African Artist Of The Year” category — Cho Boys, Jesse Jagz and Brymo went with their label mate.
Ghana’s fastest rapper Sarkodie had
the highest number of nomination and scooped (3) three awards. Sarkodie emerged as the Artist of The Year, Best Rapper Of The Year, and Most Popular Song of the year (U go Kill me).
